Poukawa Lake Trust
The tuna stocks of Lake Poukawa, Hawkes Bay
Te Wai Māori Trust supported Poukawa Lake Trust through the Wai Ora fund to develop the knowledge base of whanau and hapū that manage the lake to ensure long-term sustainability of the lake for tuna stocks. This was achieved through research that the Trust undertook in conjunction with the National Institute for Water and Atmospheric Research (NIWA).
