The aim of the Utakura freshwater fishery project was to make a start on improving the river environment ma uta ki tai to enable development and the restoration of the fisheries.
Wai Ora Fund Projects
Te Wai Māori established the Wai Ora Fund in 2012, and since that time the fund has distributed over $1.4m to 35 Iwi and hapū led projects.
