Ngā mātauranga me ngā tikanga eco research project
Te Wai Māori Trust supported Lake Whakaki Trust through the Wai Ora fund to examine the ecosystems that make up the food resources for the fish and bird population of the Whakaki Lake Wetlands.
The research was also aimed at forming a comprehensive database of aquatic life forms present, and providing Trustees information to implement sustainable management initiatives for the future well being of Whakaki Lake.
